KL.
Beautiful, exciting and adventurous. In Jakarta, I have met these people who draw me a map of south east asia, kind of where I should go. The map and recommend was really useful and efficient for whole my journey. In KL going to city is easy because English is common language in Malays also people are really kind and honest.
According to their recommend, I was looking for LeVillage near China town. It took me two fuckin hours just walk around the area... There was no ads or sign for the guest house at the time and its really hard to find. Fortunately, maybe not so lucky after two hours, I have met these people going back the hostel, they showed me the way. I noticed that I have passed the door many times...
As soon as I walked in the guesthouse, I found the atmosphere of friendliness and kindness through the guest house. Most of the guests were welcomed me, they were smiling with no reasons. Agh,that place, love it. First floor has got kitchen and nice lounge to chill out, second floor has a room for movies and third floor where I stayed has a wide space with broken couches and lots of instrument. All the people in LeVillage was quite unique and fun. Some are reading books, drawing on a huge canvas, smoking middle of the day, juggling and meditating.
The first day, I walked around China town, everything is to me was new and impressive at the time of my mind. Indonesia is the same but the restaurant with rats, hustle of people and the beauty of culture in south east asia are exotic to me.
I visited an art gallery and talked to the stuff for an hour, one of them she just sit around and checking mail then she gets paid. Good job:) Went to dinner with them. They had a guitar then we started to play out side of the restaurant.
That night or maybe another night, we bought some vodka instead of beers. Yep, beer in Malay is about $10 - $15 a bottle in shops due to muslim culture but a bottle of vodka is the same price. I have no idea how does it work but brought them back to guest house, and we made a party. Awsome! As we get drunk, people starts to play some instrument, some are singing and most of us are dancing on the small floor. The stuff of the guest house were awsome. They entertained us with making a fun tune. Le Village is one of my favorite place to stay of all time.
While I was staying KL, I have been to twin tower walked around the park, shopping in Chow kit, saw a pigs head hanging in a butcher, bird park, lake and we gathered some people from our guest house went to gym and played soccer together.
We had dinner party together, very fun
Melaka
Simply, I love this place. Nothing much, just little cozy street and a fort up on a hill. Stayed in this place called Jalan Jalan guest house. Love it too. Walked around the town with people that I met on bus during the day. This group of people is also unique and fun. Steve, the English funny guy, always enthusiastic and lead us to something. Fenke from Holland, I calledher Fanta coz I couldn't remember for a while. Moni, Anouk Pui and Art. We hang out for 5days together.
At the night, some people are came back to guest house and told us, we have to go get some vodka because its funny. So we all went out to the shop they were talking about. I see, the bottle shop was locked behind the bars and there is an old, I mean “old” couple watching TV. Well, then we asked them for some vodka. She responded and moved from chair to get one slowly passed a bottle through the bars. It was a beer. We laughed and asked once again the vodka on the shelf in blue bottle. She turned around picked a beer. Ha ha, then we started this funny screaming game left, left, left, oops too much, right, right, right, up and down. Finally she brought the one we talking about the cheap nice vodka after half an hour of fighting. We asked for two. She picked up a beer, so we gave up. Just get a bottle of vodka. I guess that is also one of the Melaka's attraction.
Everyday in Melaka, we had bicycles to travel around.
In the garden, we just riding around and around for hours
Up in the hill, we had to carry up our bicycles, beautiful view and fort
Museum was closed, shit
We saw a movie called “Kickass”.Great film but in the end its insynced and stopped for a minutes, people start to through some coke cups and popcorns. That was rare.
Riding along the beach, high way,and somewhere we don't know.
The weekend night market was lovely. All those souvenirs, antiques and rare ornament the amazing street food. We met this group doing karaoke on street then we danced with them on street. We danced like stupid, all local people were laughing but that was really fun.
Last night of Melaka, we say goodbye to each other talked about where to go next. I was to up north, some are Singapore and some are going back to KL ending their journey. Drunk and drunk.
Tamannegara
On the way, to Tamannegara, we missed our next bus on middle of nowhere then we had to spend a night. It was a really quite town and a nothing much happening. Fortunately, I have met this three guys who were intended to stay over night on street and I thought that would be fun so I joined them. We decided to staying in shelter near the bus stop but this man from a restaurant came to us said “you are crazy, please come to my place I will give a place to stay for a night”. We thought that is very kind. Thank you, we took the offer. That place was wow. His house is in the middle of the mountain, with no doors closed and windows open. The heaven of mosquitos and insects. One more thing, there are lots of ducks in his house. There are few steps down from my pillow, 20-30 ducks families. Aw, smell like shit. But we could deny his kindness offer so stayed that night there. It was fun experiences thought it was tough night.
Those three guys are fun but they took different way of mine.
To me Tamannegara would be nicer but unfortunately I was hanging out with this damp. And I couldn't meet more people to stay over night in jungle. It's not so fun to stay over night with an another man anyway. So we hang out there for a night and left the jungle. But it was a beautiful hiking and swimming in the river. Shit thing is travel can be shit depends on who you traveling with...
Well, on the way back to town by the boat was beautiful view of jungle. Monkeys birds singing and buffalos are relaxing in the water. About a two hours of flowing down the water refreshed me.
Oh paradise, Pehrentian Island
This island was amazing!! I would say so many amazing in my journal but because it is amazing. Light blue with crystal clear beach and whitey sand and coral. Woaw, when I arrived that beach, I was just stunned. We stayed in the place called “D'Lagoon” recommended by the German girl who traveled with on the way. She was right. It was bit far way from the main beach, we had to go through the jungles for an hour but we had own beach and that was quiet and close to two other beaches which are absolutely sweet. The Adam and Eves and turtle bay are fucking awsome!!!
Meet baby turtles.
As soon as we walked in to the beach, lots of little baby turtles welcomed us. In their guest house, some people were doing some volunteer work to protect new born turtles. They are so cute. We have feed them wash their little pond and protect from some lizards come from jungle.
The day I arrived, there was a problems with water and I didn't know, then I went to shit. I found out there is no water and paper after my business well, what to do?? I grabbed my pants run through the beach with holding my balls and washed smelly butt in the beach while some people are swimming:p Well, SHIT happens. But some people found that funny and get along with them nice and smooth. We went down to a beach called Adam and Eve in the afternoon, did snorkeling and saw some sharks and beautiful fishes. Stayed until the sunset, went back to guest house played uno with other guests. We did couple of divings around the island for next couple of days and just chill out on a hung mockalong on the beach. Got coconuts from tree, snorkeling and reading in the island. Nice life style.
There is a party every night on the main beach though we have been to the beach only twice. Nice chill out music in the early evening, got harder and faster to electro hip hop towards to the morning. One of the night, we hang out till the sunrise, that was awsome. We were about 10 in our group, drunk and drunk again, pretty much thats my life. Meeting people, dancing through the night and talk shit. Got really drunk and jump in to the dark ocean, I love swimming in the dark night. It scares me and excites me. Unfortunately one of my friend has been stolen his camera while he was swimming. Yeah shit could happens... Amazingly I have met the three guys that I stayed in the house with duck near Tamannegara. We had nice drinking time. After sunrise, we were totally fucked but it was too early for boat taxi to take us back to D'Lagoon. So Angie the German girl we hanging out with, she decided to go back through the jungle with drunken foot. We all got disagree but she has got leading mind that pushed our lazy arse. We caught a little turtle who has been dying on beach so we had to go back as fast as we could to save him as well. Tino was complaining, me and Ireenee was making the complaining to a song. We walked through the jungle with singing song and screaming for hours. That day was great. Next day, there was a storm came down to the island. We just hanging out in the guest house.
We fought with lizards to protect the little turtles but in the end the number went down from 103 to87. Said good-bye to them and their future caterer.
Penang
Agh~ this is the town for food.Cheap and yummy food all around the town. Chinese, Indian and Malaysian mixture, they are really hard to describe but the taste of walking this little town was irresistible to get fat. I was having 5 to 8 dishes a day. Never get hungry, want to get hungry but just keep on eating. Loh mee, wanton mee, curry mee whatever something to do with mee was just great. Laksa in here is nothing like anywhere else. Seafood, chicken and pork, ah, you just have to try them to understand the feeling of being this town.
Arriving this town was funny aswell. We arrived with five others in the very early morning like 4am.Of course in little place like Penang, nobody is awake. So we had to walk around to find some guest house to stay but couldn't find any. After hour of walk, one of my friend, he found a place called 75travelers. The stuff was sleeping inside, but we knocked on the door woke him up ask him. Let us stay please~. He was still in his dream, said #$%&'(0&&%%'. We have made to check in for the morning.
I have visit temple called Kek LokSi temple. That was lovely too. One of the biggest Buddhist temple I have visit. My favorite part is on the way. Nice up hill with unique souvenir shops around like a tunnel. Turtles pond was bit sad after looked after turtles in Pehrentian but temple itself was huge and beautiful. And the sugar cane after long walk in the village was one of the best.
Went to Monkey beach, couldn't find any monkey on the beach... Broke my flip flop, on the way, had to walk on bare foot in jungle and town.
I have met three other Japanese travelers, they are all from Kyushu. We all met in Penang. That was funny. Kyushu is cool:)
Langkawi
I didn't like there much. It just maybe because of the locals treat boys badly. All the white chicks are treated special but not a guys. And the guest house was hot... Almost steamed in the room. I have traveled more than 9 month now, but I never felt shit more than there...
Cable car in Langkawi was nice. There is a bridge cross the mountains. When I was there some clouds covered the whole mountain and bridge. Nice
The seven wells waterfall. Absolutely stunning. I was playing around the top of the waterfall, swimming and relaxing with flow and sliding down some spot. It is amazing things that all people around me about mid 20th being like 8years old kid. The enegy of the waterfall gives us the youth. I love it
